Few players are tied to an era of baseball quite like Nolan Ryan, and few uniforms are as unmistakable as Houston's legendary rainbow look.

Tequila Sunrise began as a vintage Rawlings RBG60 Nolan Ryan endorsed-model glove and has been completely reimagined by The Craftsman's Works as a one-of-one tribute to The Ryan Express and his years in Houston.

The original leather was thoroughly cleaned and conditioned before being dyed a deep navy blue. From there, the details were brought to life in the unmistakable red, yellow, and orange color palette inspired by Houston's legendary "Tequila Sunrise" rainbow uniforms.

The lettering has been individually hand-painted in red, yellow, and orange. The Basket-Web received its own custom rainbow treatment, and an entirely new set of red, yellow, and orange leather laces completes the transformation.

The result is a vintage player-model glove that still carries its history, but now tells an entirely new story.

A Tribute to the Ryan Express

Nolan Ryan's years in Houston produced some of the defining moments of his legendary career, including his fifth no-hitter and his climb to the top of baseball's all-time strikeout list.

This glove was designed to capture the look and energy of that era.

Deep navy leather provides the foundation, while layers of red, orange, and yellow travel throughout the lettering, web, and lacing, a color combination immediately reminiscent of one of the most recognizable uniforms in baseball history.

This is a genuine vintage glove, not a new glove made to look old.

Overall, the leather and glove remain in good condition for their age. There is visible age-related wear to portions of the binding, along with the natural creasing, markings, and character expected from a glove that has survived for decades.

Those characteristics have intentionally not been hidden.

The goal of the restoration was not to erase the glove's history, but to preserve it while creating something entirely new from it.
