This vintage Rawlings G350 Kirby “Hig” Higbe model baseball glove offers a tangible connection to the game as it was played during the 1940s.

Carefully cleaned, conditioned, lettering repainted and completely relaced by The Craftsman, this glove retains the deep color, traditional construction, and unmistakable character that make early player-model gloves so compelling to collectors.

The newly installed chestnut color leather laces provide a striking contrast against the glove’s rich, dark leather while allowing its original shape, markings, and decades of character to remain the focus.

The Kirby “Hig” Higbe Model

Walter Kirby “Hig” Higbe was a hard-throwing right-handed pitcher whose major-league career extended from 1937 through 1950. He enjoyed his greatest success with Brooklyn, tying for the National League lead with 22 victories during the Dodgers’ 1941 pennant-winning season. He was also selected to the 1946 All-Star Game.

Player-endorsed gloves like the Rawlings G350 allowed young players and fans to take the field with equipment bearing the name of a major-league star. Decades later, surviving examples offer collectors a direct connection to both the player and the era.
